The front of my house has a council owned strip within my curtilage for future highways improvement which won't happen. I wish to purchase this 'ransom strip' so that I can use my side garden as a building plot and split the land in 2. If the new building plot is worth 100k for development but I will lose 50k from my existing house if I lose my garden and am overlooked etc.
How much should I pay for the ransom plot?
