I have a pool that I need to drain for some upcoming repairs. Where should I let the water go? Is the water OK to go to the creek just outside the property or is this more of a wastewater thing? Is the community sewer system OK then?

when do you fertilize the lawn?

Half of the sources I read (and that includes TV ads, too :) say in fall, the other half - in spring. What would you guys recommend and is there really a universal answer or should I look for some signs of it actually needing the fertilizer? And by the way, I just use a dispensing attachment for the water hose. Is this a good way to spread the fertilizer? Thanks!

weed trimmer's string keeps breaking. Bad trimmer, line or I just don't do it right?

I spend more time replacing the line than actually trimming grass. Sometimes the string is just gone and sometimes I find 1-2-3 foot pieces of it in the grass. Do I need a better line or what?

Pin hole leaks in water pipes.

Our home in Connecticut has developed pin hole leaks in the water pipes.  We have had 4 so far.  Each one led to costly repairs of ceilings and walls.  We had another one yesterday leading to a huge hole in the ceiling as the plumber looked for the leak.  We need to find a way to fix our pipes.  Any ideas?  I had spoken to epipe relining service but they do not work in Connecticut.  I also had read an article saying that re-lining is not a good option.  We would greatly appreciate any advice.
