It’s hard to draw the line between preventive maintenace and just being a perfectionist for no reason. Do you guys actually bother with these minor adjustments or do you just wait for something to actually fall off the wall before grabbing the toolkit? Sometimes it feels like I’m just creating projects to keep myself busy. Like, does a 2mm gap in the weatherstripping really matter that much in the grand scheme of things? A quick trick is to pull the middle hinge pin, lay it on your garage floor, and give it a firm tap with a hammer to put a very slight bend in the shank.
