i'm going to put down engineered floorboards & carpet in 2 rooms with concrete floors, the adjacent hallway is already tiled up from concrete by
30-38mm. i'm thinking of using wickes tongue & groove chipboard flooring- underlay to choose from.
it says on the wickes website that this chipboard is "loft panel" not to be used in damp areas(kitchen/bathroom), i'm laying them in the bedroom & living room on the lower ground floor, can anyone see any problems with using this chipboard or offer another cheap solution? i've had a look at marine ply but that's too expensive & i do not want to nail down any ply into the concrete as that might break the DPC below the concrete!
Thx.
