What efforts, if any, do installers of solar electrical cells provide to prevent damage from airborne projectiles? Grapefruit sized hail comes to mind.


None that I've ever seen.

That's scary considering intial installation costs.

Panels are available with some resistancy, however grapefruit sized hail is a little extreme.

They do as well as skylights and other tempered glass. Actually they are not as big of a problem as lightning is.
