removing gule from wall after cork

Jul 27, 2004 1 Replies

Hi all,

got a question, had cork on one of the walls, got it scraped off. There is some glue residue all over the wall, and so far TSP and regular scrubbing doesn't take it off. Any ides what would be the best? thanks

Martin

I know that they make adhesive removers for glue-down carpet so you might try one of them. There are citrus based strippers that might work. Another alternative would be to use a hot air gun. Depending on the circumstances, it might be easier to scrape off the adhesive without worrying about gouging the walls and veneer over the wall with a new layer of thin drywall.
