This isn't just a"Coffee Table" book with a few fancy illustrations of the houses themselves,but covers every architectural aspect in dedicated chapters, materials of construction,plaster flind stone etc,chimneys & porches, windows,roofs, interior detail, mantelpieces,staircases ceilings,windows metalwork,leadwork ironwork gardens and garden ayouts and surroundings.
One of the best architectural manuals we've had for a long time,and very hard to find.Sydney Jones's finely detailed illustrations are a sheer pleasure!
