The Manor Houses of England by P H Ditchfield MA F.S.A. Illustrated by Sydney R Jones Clothe boards a little worn with some staining, otherwise a good solid copy. 1910 Large format 211 pages A really superb and sumptouous vintage book on the subject, covers the traditional Manor House in huge detail. This isn't just a"Coffee Table" book with a few fancy illustrations of the houses themselves, but covers every architectural aspect in dedicated chapters, materials of construction, plaster flind stone etc, chimneys & porches, windows, roofs, interior detail, mantelpieces, staircases ceilings, windows metalwork, leadwork ironwork gardens and garden ayouts and surroundings.

One of the best architectural manuals we've had for a long time, and very hard to find.Sydney Jones's finely detailed illustrations are a sheer pleasure!
