I rented a house 3 years ago, under a one year lease. The landlord said we had to pay the lease fee on his softener, which we did. After the first year there has been no new lease and the agreement for the softener is separate, can he evict me because I refuse to make his lease payments on the softener?
He has not asked us to sign a new lease, but keeps making threats of upping the deposit which was agreed on and paid before we moved in. Now he says he will evict e if I refuse to pay for that piece of equipment.
Can he do that?
