What are these called

Hi

I have a pump that has suffered in the frost and the pipe that is on the outlet is not working It is coupled to another pipe . the pipes have small flanges on them and they are coupled by a plastic clamp that holds them together. The clamp has shattered and so it leaks. It appears to be about 32mm but I can check before I buy. I have goggled but have not been able to find anything.

It actually is in a bestway eazy spar pump and it appears all OK other than the pipe coming adrift. . I just need a way of coupling the pipes and I will be in action again. . Any suggestions welcomed.

Gary expressed precisely :

I think he means something similar or similar idea to how they clamp those large (5") metal flexible suction pipes together. Two half circles with an over centre arm which snaps into place pulling both flanges tight in to each other.

Hi Guys

Photo now up at

(This is my own web site and is safe and not commercial.) I have included a close up of a small clamp . The big one is showing the pipe slightly moved so you can see the flange

Most of the clamps are sealed with mastic as well as the screw and o rings. ( The black bit on photo.), as it happens the one I need to replace is not sealed with mastic but I would rather not take the others apart to get to the broken one. So any ideas how to effect a good repair or where to get a suitable clamp would be welcomed.

Thanks

Gary

Unfortunately its nowhere near clear enough about what's being clamped.

It looks like a split clamp, used to connect the metal body of a spa heater with preformed flange onto a plastic union socket. Try googling Balboa spa heater and you at least get an image of the complete unit. I had to replace a heater on my spa two or three years ago, and the new heater came with them already fitted. The old one were dumped......

As to sourcing one, have you tried speaking to a spa supplier? It's a very specialised item and I can't think of anywhere else you'd locate one.
