Looking to replacve MR16 bulb holder. The original came with a metal spring which holds the bulb in. All replacements I can see don't appear to have this. Is the bulb supposed to defy gravity by just the terminals ?
MR16 bulb holder? A bit more info please? Could be one of two things.
Oh, well ... dissembled the offending piece - a fan/light assembly (fan worked perfectly). Bulb holder had (as suspected) got weak and started arcing before giving up. Managed to solder the (new) bulb in place. The last one lasted 10 years, so fingers crossed !
It was for a bathroom light/fan assembly, but (see on) no need now ... Thanks anyway
