Plastic conduit falling to bits?

This is probably a bit trivial, but what adhesive do you folk think would be best to afix the top and end pieces of half inch plastic conduit, aas the natural spring and friction of the material seems not to be man enough for the job. I hate evo stick... Brian

Do mean trunking, not conduit?

plastic conduit solvent weld

If you need to disassemble the pieces later than some gloss paint might be sticky enough, but less permanent than solvent weld.

Plastic pipe solvent applied sparingly but take care not to get any on any cable insulation. If you are having to go out and buy adhesive then if it is just a small amount required try a proper model shop if are near one. Often have glues for plastics which are liquid and can be brushed on with a small brush into the exact spot. G.Harman

The solvent adhesive designed for waste systems. But it gives a 'solvent weld' as strong as the tube itself, so you have to take care when aligning things.

B&Q sell it, but you have to ask at a checkout. Seems to have other uses. ;-)

Oil based gloss is pretty much as strong a bond as solvent weld, as it also dissolves into the uPVC surface.

Well, its trunking when its visible I suppose, I ttend to think of anything that hides wiresas conduit, really I'm old fashioned i suppose.

Trunking usually has a removable lid along its length. Conduit a pipe or similar.

So conduit would normally be used for only the one or two circuits, trunking more usually for multiple ones. Or for cables too heavy to pull through conduit.
