You can make a lot of legit money if you've got the brains to be a barriste r, one nearly charged me £1100 + £250 'travel allowance' for a day's wo rk, at least she had the decency to cancel when she decided we had no chanc e of winning, after looking at the documents.
Did you pay her for her time looking at the documents? Or does that all have to come out of the fees she charges when she does represent people?

No, my solicitor refunded my payment, which he had collected on her behalf, although I had already paid him his fee of £350, which was reasonable co nsidering the business (immigration case) had dragged on a few months.
20k wouldn't be enough
