I have a strange lead soil pipe that meanders through an outside wall in such a way that it is impractical to replace, although I have now replaced the main cast iron stack with plastic. I am replacing the wc and need to securely fix to this lead pipe. A normal sized pan connector will fit loosely into the pipe, but I am wondering the best way to seal this. I'm not going to find a connector with a better fit as the pipe is rather mishapen and entirely non-standard. I have thought of: Silicone, Plumbers Mait, Mastic Tape. Any ideas...? I'm worried about longevity; mine but also that of the joint. Many Thanks.
