Electromagnetic Compatibility of Vaillant Ecotec 831?

I concur. He has been a prat for years, companies party when he leaves.

I don't believe he has single mate, not one.

Here in Chippenham he is the town looney, known to all and detested by all.

Well Gareth, here's a clue as to why you are a Top Posting Moron:-

Every time you and your ilk make a post you have to add words like "such as you do below". Because otherwise your post would be even more meaningless crap than it already is. Bottom poster's don't have to indicate which part of the previous post they are replying to - because it has already bean quoted _at the top of the page_.

I see that the dastard known as ,"Lurker", is still there - always ready to print out personal information of others but hiding behind the elastic of her own frilly knickers.

It is not a matter of EMC investigation, it is a matter of law - I am not qualified under CORGI to do any work.

However, to the pair of youwho delight > Lurker wrote:

No, very true. the law states you need to be a _competent_ person!!

CORGI has nothing to do with any legality issues.

Given his previous confusion over the colour of the service pipes to his house, I think he was correct in what he said in the last part of that quotation, absent the reference to CORGI.

Gareth is neither competent nor qualified. Why do you think he is unemployed most of the time?

Did you ever think that it might be NOTHING to do with the boiler?

As a supposedly qualified Radio Amateur, you are supposed to be qualified to do EMC investigations. How much stray RF have you got floating around the shack? What state is your equipment grounding in? Do you even have an RF ground? Don't be too quick to blame the manufacturer of the boiler until you are 100% sure that it is not caused by something which YOU failed to install or ground properly!

Now, go and check that instead of spewing your usual bile onto Usenet.

Exactly. The paint on his drain pipes is badly peeling and in need of some attention... also I can't quite believe that he hasn't installed double glazing yet...

I like your side gate and double iron gates for the cars, but what was the point when you are seperated by your neighbours by a single wire fence? BTW, your conifers could do with trimming, they are awfully overgrown and unweildly. Whatever must your neighbours think?

C'mon Hully, double glazing costs money...

True Spike but it is basic stuff so:

Firstly, boilers tend to be metal cased so check it is all bonded to earth. No need to mess with the "gas side" or the flue, so no Corgi issues.

Second, the other route for RF into the case is cabling. This can vary depending on the configutation but it can't be too difficult to identify the various cables- CH thermostat, HW Thermostat, pump (if not in the boiler), mains supply, zone / divert valves etc etc. The "proper" way to find the problem is a current probe (you can make one) to find the RF induced currents then try some counter measures (ferrite, decoupling etc) .

(This is basic material and is included (to varying depths) in the various amateur radio examinations.)

Hmm tell me, you top-posting moron, what is "potty mouthed" about referring to you as a top-posting moron?

You prattle on about "gentlemanly traditions of Radio Hammery" but are too arrogant, too stupid or too self-important to recognise and honour the gentlemanly traditions of Usenet.

To Brian Reay, G8OSN, M3OSN, Company Director Of The RSGB, Schoolteacher at Strood, Kent.

(But is it as basic as knowing that to use a hacksaw, you don't try to twist the blade?)

The remarks from you that are quoted below are grossly offensive and gratuitously insulting. Such remarks have no place in a Usenet News Group devoted to the technical pursuit that is Ham Radio, and a news group to which children have access.

Nothing that I had said previously either to you directly, or to others generally, about the discussion as to what is Ham Radio and what is not Ham Radio could ever justify the publication of such gratuitous offensive material. Your remarks do not relate to anything that I had published.

What possessed you to utter such remarks? In any case you do not know my wife, nor have you ever had dealings with her, and so for you to suggest that she is a sheep in the bed next to me just beggars belief. What sort of person _ARE_ you?

I ask you to retract your remarks unconditionally and to proffer an apology both to myself and to my wife for the offence that you have given.

This news group is an appropriate place for that retraction and apology.

I suspect Gareth would welcome a boring life. Even a boring life must be better than no life - waking up each day with bitter negative thoughts and only a sheep next to you.

Could make you turn to drink

Enjoying yourself requires a positive frame of mind. For that you need a mind.

He has children? That is a depressing thought. Poor little s**s. I bet their maths homework was always wrong ;-)

Is there a 'sad lonely old git' group in Chippenham?

Nah, imagine want might fall out.

I take you to task once again on your rather silly and childish outbursts. We have never met, you do not know me, and there is no reason why any civilised and decent person should erupt with a potty-mouth such as you do below.

Everything about my posts is gentlemanly; nothing about yours is.

Shame on you.

Grow up, Steve Firth!
