Dead tree amidst copse

You could leave the dead tree as it is- is it necessary to remove it? If not leave it be. If you must, an arborist will probably make short work of it, unless you climb it yourself (having deemed it safe to climb, of course), removing the lateral branches on your way up, if you do not know how to snatch the top off a tree, then remove the crown section by section, then start chogging the main stem- always ensure you will not cut your rope, and that you are below the section you are cutting. for the main stem(s), cut sections you can easily control, pulling them to you if you need to drop them in a specific place (as this will give you more control). Main thing, be methodical, mind your ropes,be comfortable in your position so you have good stability. Providing you know how to use a chainsaw in a tree, and know how to make decent, safe cuts voila!
