So far I have been able to keep most of the spiders/bugs out of the house. But they seem to be winning the war. I have tried sprays and granular from places like Home Depot.
What is the best thing for spreading around outside the house and garage? I don't have any pets or kids. What do professionals use?

Killing the spiders is most of your problem right there. The rest of it is eliminating the food source(s) for the other bugs.
