Bruised Barn Board ?

i just removed several wall shelves which were built-in on a barn board wall. during the process of extracting the nails i created several "bruises" even though i tried to be careful with the hammer and crowbar ends. is there something i can do to repair these bruises? thanks for any suggestions....

You might try steam, dampen the 'ding', put a wet cloth over it and apply SWMBO's iron to the area. That raises small dents in furniture, might be worth a try.
