brick veneer

Saw an expisode of "Weekend Remodeling" on DIY the other day. They used brick veneer to five a plain wall a great look without actually building a real brick wall.
I've been trying to get an idea of what is available (colors, sizes, etc.) without going to a "dealer"... I'd much rather look on the net and get some info on my own before going to the store.
Any one know any good web sites for brick veneer?
Thanks, -Jay

I can't help you with what you are seeking other than to correct your terminology so that you can search for or ask the right questions. The term "brick veneer" refers to a full sized brick that is applied in front of a framed wall as opposed to "solid brick construction" which refers to a solid masonry wall which is usually 2 courses of full sized bricks laid back to back. From your post I infer that you are looking for real of fake brick slices that are no more than 1/2" thick. I think the term you may want to use is "faux brick" or maybe "faux brick veneer". This post is not meant to embarrass; only to help.

Thank you Colbyt. Not finding any successful hits on google I was wondering if I missed something regarding terminology in the episode. Thanks again!

Try: www.bouldercreekstone.com/products.asp and look under "thin brick"
I'll have to do this to the front of my house.

There used to be something called "Zbrick" which was glued to the drywall and had a brick-and-mortar look to it (the 'mortar' was indented some). No idea if this stuff is available any longer but may help in your search.
