Refrigerators are good. People often don't know how to fix them. I do work on them, fairly regular. Some residential, some commercial.

Gas is more like 2.50 but then, New York is high on gas prices. Yep, it's going to take a while to get back to abnormal.

I tried that 10% ethanol fuel in my vehicles. The mileage dropped from 18 to

  1. Not worth the price difference.

I run gasohol any time I can find it. It makes better power, the engine burns cooler, and burns a hell of a lot cleaner. I ran gasohol exclusively in a '76 Mustang II Mach I Stallion.....it had the 2.8V6 that dyno'ed at

275hp. I ran it for 180,000 miles before I tore it down. There was ZERO carbon deposits in the engine, and only a light brown haze on the tops of the pistons. The factory honing crosshatch was still visible the entire length of all 6 cylinders. The insides of the tailpipes were white. BTW, it got as high as 34mpg on the interstate @ 65mpg with 3.40 gears in the rear end and no overdrive

Hmmm. That's strange. My van went from about 18 MPG to 15.5 MPG when I ran gasohol. Turned out to cost more, when I did the math.

Moron... it helps if you actually take care of the vehicle instead of driving it till it quits.

I took it to playland for a happy meal the other day. Does that count?

They used to have Sadaam Hussein targets. Wonder how long till we have McCain and Oh Bomb Us targets. Well, that wouldn't be PC, y'know.

Just target practice.... hunting season isn't open yet.

Pheasant, Deer and Antelope is open here. For $3,500 the State will let you drop a buffalo. Lots of Ducks and Geese in the air too.Damned steel shot takes the pleasure out of eating them though. We should start getting Snow Geese in a couple of weeks. Lots of Canadian Honkers year around. We have some really lenient Bow and Black powder seasons too. There is an early season on Doves for the shotgunners.. I wouldn't waste good ammo.

Primitive weapons season (deer) will be open in a couple of weeks, there have been a couple of bird openings, but that doesn't interest me.

bows and black powder.

The exception is the "Handi Rifle" breech load, single shot, has to be manually cocked, and has to be one of the specified calibers.

No, I can't use my 45/70 BFR for "primative weapons"...I asked :-)
