Hi Y'all I have the opportunity to acquire a log blown down in a storm. I think it's Ash. Anyway, I'd like to get it sawn into boards. How should it be done? Quartersawn? Another way? The log is approx. 12" in diameter x 7' long. TIA Joe

Information here may be outdated?
Ash has no real ray figure to enhance by quartering, but dramatic difference between early and late wood. Saw it through and through. On a small single log, only way to go.
