Has anyone in the UK purchased a Jet thicknesser model JPM13CSX? I am thinking about purchasing one myself. I need a unbiased review of the machine from a hands on machinist. Highlighting the plus' and the minus' of the machine.
The model is marketed in USA as JPM 13CS and can be used as a moulder. Is it possible to and as anyone succeeded in adding the moulding features to the 13CSX? i.e. is the casting for the gearbox on both machines identical so the gear wheels can be changed? also, is the cutterhead the same on both machines? I wanted to ask on the newsgroup before contacting Jettools.
I hope someone will take the time and effort to answer these queries and any other helpful pointers will be thankfully received.
