OT: Las Vegas

If any of you are in Las Vegas (or coming for a few days) I'd like to meet you and say Hi. I used to get to see a lot of you when I lived in Houston but not much lately. Our band is performing here:

I'll probably be out for the bicycle show in September. I marked my calendar to look you up!

Look forward to it Barry . . . hopefully as time gets closer, we'll have the rest of our schedule on our website. The economy has everybody a bit ragged right now. Most of the contracts for 2009 were supposed to be signed by Oct/Nov of

2008. Nobody's signing yet. We're just going month by month.

Yup!

If you went, the ride you got wouldn't be on a bicycle.

Interbike isn't a public selling show. It's an opportunity for manufacturers and wholesalers to display what they've got and take dealer orders for the coming year.

Oddly enough, Trek found it cheaper to fly all of their reps and dealers to Madison in August, for a private show, than to participate in Interbike. Last year, they built-up _5000_ Limes for everyone to ride from the show to the party!

One interesting part of Interbike is "Asia Row". It's a bunch of booths with nothing more than a guy in a suit, a laptop, and his ashtray. Drop a product on the table, and the next morning, the guy will tell you how much for a container load of the item, and when they can be at the Port of LA!

Actually skeez, I play both of those PLUS the router, and drill press. I know what yer thinking: He's a ONE MAN BAND! We have the entire Grizzly Line in our band so if you think that sucks . . . it's because we have a 1-1/2 hp vac system as well! LOL!

AND - - - - We are now performing for opening day at NASCAR. It's the day of the time trials but they've pre-sold 65,000+ tickets for that day alone not to mention those at the gate. I was told that ESPN will be filming our gig as part of the pre-race festivities so we'll more than likely be on TV as well. I received a call from a radio station yesterday that said there will be 100,000 people in attendance on that date. We're starting to get a little anxious . . . a live audience of that size plus national television . . . too cool. Now all I've got to do is remember the chords and words and we'll do just fine! LOL

knock em dead jums! I gotta tru and catch that on the tube. I dont watch much TV. I think its a waste of time and contributes to the overall dumbing down of our kids but I do watch a little sports so hopefully I can catch this one.
