I'm looking at buying a HVLP gun, and was pretty set on a conversion gun (using a compressor instead of a turbine). I spoke to the local Apollo rep today, and he tells me that they will soon be offering a very attractive price (more than 1/3 off retail) on the 700 turbine system. Here's a link for it :

'd like to get a gun that can spray as wide a range of material as possible, and this is where I start to have a few doubts about the 700. Doing google groups and web searches on this unit doesn't reveal much, but a few hits that stood out were "selling due to upgrade" and even one "underpowered".
I'd really appreciate some feedback from those of you that have had direct or indirect experience with this unit. I guess at this stage I'm still leaning towards a conversion gun, possibly the Apollo 5110 or 8200.
