A couple of weeks ago went into the big city, and stopped at HarborFreight. Always fun, even if for no other reason than just to enjoy thesmell of new tools.Got a nice 16' tape measure, for keeping in my truck, in a sicklyflorecent green color that I doubt my sons will even touch, let alone"borrow". Hehehe Before I came back home, stopped at my usual used bookstore. Theyhad probably an even larger varied of used woodworking books then usual,but unfortunately none I wanted. Then about a week later my older son took me in so I could have acolonoscopy done. Good results. But, not only got to spend some qualtytime with him, for a change, but we stopped off at HF agan. Picked up acouple of small items. Got my glaucoma tested again, doing very well on that. Eyeprescription hadn't changed from last year, so don't need to shell outfor that. Then today, talked with the bank, about a loan so I could get thepad poured for my garage. Approved, even as we talked. I knew payingthose bills was good for something. Heh heh. So, now all that's leftis the paperwork, and finding someone to do the work. That'll free upthe space in my shop the younger kid has his junk in, and will give himspace to store the engine in various vehicles around my yard. Hisexcuse is "no place to store the engines", so he just leaves the entirevehicle there. I plan to section off a space in there, reserved justfor me and my projects - which will include lumber storage - but,that'll still leave him about 4/5s of the space. Sounds fine, but watch that encroachment! Kids have a way of leaving stuff around on a continuing basis--message to Julie & Lisa: come get yer books, magazines, dressers, piano and other crap, because I'm gonna do a bonfire about mid-winter if not!

Enjoy. Extra space is always lovely and extra shop space is twice as lovely.
