For those considering contracting and especially finishing your eventual retirement house; two pieces of advice:

Too late. Have had Art's rheumate for years. Doing nothing doesn't help.
But they are *your* screw ups. Unlike other's screwups, there is time to make your big ones into little ones.
Spent six months after I retired fixing up the house to sell, sold it, and went back to work. Retirement was too much work. ;-)
There is also equal opportunity and time to make small ones into big ones. :)
