Well on 12th August I bought some oil from at a price of 39p. Ordered by my neighbour as part of a group purchase. This is the 2nd highest price I have ever paid.

Two years ago in August I paid 51p to Emo (the highest price I have ever paid). Fortunately I reduced my order size, and topped up in December 2008 at 34.2p from Emo.

On Saturday I found a petrol station just south of Wolverhampton selling 95 octane petrol at 111.9p. That was after I had half filled my car at 114.9p a few miles earlier.

Bummer! I hate it when that happens. Around here (Spalding) it's usually in the 113.9 - 116.9 range (regular unleaded)

Today Sainsbury's in Spalding have unleaded at 112.9; Donington Service Station is the other end of the scale at 116.9.

In Wolverhampton, Morrison's or Asda at 110.9. You lucky feller. Round here (Berkshire) it's 115.9 minimum.
