fuses don't remove the risk of what BS 1363-3 calls "undue strains on fixed socket-outlets" from the weight of multiple adaptors plus plugs and cords
Also does not help of all those extra contacts push the earth loop impedance high enough that you can no longer meet the required disconnect times in the event of a fault.
Then Darwin's law will take care of it.
No, that hardly ever kills anyone.
