Which glue to patch an airbed?

Question

I have an airbed which, predictably after a while, has multiple micro-leaks. The bed came with some patch kit, but it was rubbish. So I started taking cuts from thick supermarket bags and glue them to the bed. This works but only for a week or two.

I have asked the folks at the local Wilko but they can't even understand what an airbed is.

I have googled around and I have found recommendations for glues that don't even exist in UK.

Apparently there should be a glue that doesn't even need a patch kit. Just splash and go.

Is there anything like that in UK?

Its it rubberised fabric? If so puncture repair kits may sort you out.] camping stores carry repair kits specifically for these and things like rubber dinghiesOr as cited above, amazon ebay etc.

I'd be more inclined to go for cycle inner tube or pond liner repair kit.Depending on the scale of the leak.

Many years ago, in an emergency, I happened to have a tube of an orange coloured, car sealant (a sort of silicone instant gasket, IIRC) in the boot. I smeared that on, let it set and the air-bed lasted another 20 years!

How on earth do you make holes in it though, most of the ones I've seen are pretty robust. Supermarket bags bio degrade so are not suitable for the task. Brian

Stormsure for the glue, amazing stuff.

Senior Management has a favourite pair of short wellies she uses for gardening. They split and I thought they were irreparable but she insisted I try. Sure enough, I found Stormsure and it worked.

You should be able to get patches for bike inner tubes from Halfords / EBay etc. Those with some Stormsure should seal the holes. May not be pretty.

PVC airbeds are simply not worth repairing.Get a rubberised canvas one

Try neoprene wetsuit or drysuit glueBlack witch or Aquasure both by McNettUsed them both including on a "soft" water pouch.Aquasure is slower but better
