Forget that,you mean the way MrRumm has already pointed out.
Well not exactly... I suggested a scanned image. You could obviously use that or any other captured image (digital photo ext).
The webcam suggestion allows the possibility of a real time moving picture image being displayed on the data projector (although with limited resolution in most cases)
It doesn't if you have any sense as the resolution will be crap.

1280*1024 is quite possible.
And projectors that you hook up to the video output of computers can do that resolution with no problem.
