Well it is a DIY forum

That's a nice thought and I appreciate it but I'm not looking for more repair work. After various spells of running my own business and working for others making and/or mending, I'm currently working for the equivalent of the county music service with a little private practice now and then. Retirement is probably a couple of years away - give or take - and I'm trying to wind down, not up. But as I said up there: I really appreciate the thought - thanks.

Ok come clean! did you sack him, dock his wages, leave him in Grimsby or what?

Saved his Dad when he was hypo.

Gave his parents the keys to my house when they were house hunting and moving from Ramsey to Doncaster. I have a spare bedroom so why not?

I did not know Jon then - his parents were just customers of mine.

Oh and I got completely pissed up with him and Murray (ISTR Murray owns the music shop) on New Years Eve about 13 months ago.

Of course I did, just trying not to encourage him as I couldn't think of a witty reply

It's me Geoff, I was blowing my own tru... ...Well twanging my own pizzicato.

Airing your own G string so to speak. or was it meant to be a muted response

Sorry, yes - I wasn't paying attention as to who it was
