I initially misread that as "need your big Goat"!

Not that cold ...

Unfortunately being an image of text all blind people going to that page will freeze as they cannot read it. :-)

It says: WEATHER WARNING SOUTHERNERS ARE URGED NOT TO TRAVEL UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

NORTHERNERS YOU WILL NEED YOUR BlG COAT.

Are you sure the are Geordies? I cannot see any tattoos

All things are relative? I well remember the first time (>60 years ago) I was bemused to see a sign at Scotch Corner to "The North". And it weren't pointing towards the West Riding :)

Indeed they are:

(That's the outskirts of Lerwick, signed "A970 The North")

Unless you're at the North Pole, everywhere has somewhere to "The North".

Glaswegians might need a teeshirt over the string vest :-)

More important is the blind panic that seizes all motorists when there is even a touch of white on the road.

Certainly a problem as far north as Derby (in days long gone).

Kids these days just don't know how to drive in snow.

I blame global warming.

Cheers

You obviously haven't seen Essex Girl on the way to the disco on a Saturday night mid winter.

Their nerves detect the cold. But there is no brain to interpret the signal.

Sorry fella, but I cannot always comply with your sig request.

String vests only work with something over them. Its like double glazing the air has to be trapped. So why do Glaswegians wear string vests in the first place?
