All things are relative? I well remember the first time (>60 years ago) I was bemused to see a sign at Scotch Corner to "The North". And it weren't pointing towards the West Riding :)

More important is the blind panic that seizes all motorists when there is even a touch of white on the road.

Certainly a problem as far north as Derby (in days long gone).

Kids these days just don't know how to drive in snow.

I blame global warming.

String vests only work with something over them. Its like double glazing the air has to be trapped. So why do Glaswegians wear string vests in the first place?
