Warm or cold roof

New pitched roofs are taking form but I'm wondering whether I should ask the builders to go for warm roof rather than the planned cold roof.

The original roof is traditional 70's design and I added up-to-spec loft insulation a number of years ago which made a big difference but half of it is going to be replaced/felt/tiles anyway. My biggest issue has been heat build-up in the roof as it was which I'm sure was migrating through the 230mm (or whatever it is) rockwool loft insulation.

Is there and significant advantage in re-doing the whole roof as a warm roof while the tiles are off?

I think the heat build-up could/will be reduced with ventilated ridge tiles as per the architects design of which there is no ridge (or other) ventilation in the current/original roof.

Any experiences changing from cold to warm excluding loft conversions?

Cheers - Pete
