Trim for around a WC pipe

I am about to tile around a WC Waste pipe and don't expect to be able to cut the tiles perfectly and wondered of there is any sort of trim that I could use (similar to that which is available for 15mm pipes) to hide any gaps.

Don't know about trim, but a round tile-cutting blade for a hacksaw frame is an absolute doddle to use - cuts up, down and sideways. You should have no trouble cutting a 4" diameter radius as long as it's not all on one tile :-) If so, break the tile in half and cut out each side, then use grout to hide the gap. I guess this won't work too well if you've opted for black tiles and white grout and the loo is positioned where all and sundry will be regularly on their knees inspecting your handiwork, but usually, no-one looks at the wall behind a loo!

Drill hole in tile, remove "blade", put through hole, reconnect to hacksaw, cut round hole in the middle of tile. Of course, the hacksaw needs enough reach if tiles are large - I got a "coping saw" and used the tile blade in it. Simon.

It's funny, I was decorating the bathroom recently and wondered about this - I've never seen a trim like this. In my case there aren't any tiles round the pipe, just plaster, and it would be much neater with a gasket/trim of some sort there.

If you buy a boiler flue, they all come with a neat uPVC or rubber trim to do this job... why can't you get them for a lavvy? (Or maybe you can and I just can't find one!)

Otoh, removing the loo in order to slip this tile over the waste pipe could be regarded as overkill ;-) Your technique will certainly work with sufficiently large and strong tiles, however, if it was needed. Certainly good for going round sockets above kitchen worktops.

Should only need one cut to fit it. Depends how much space you have to twist it open.
