for a given budget, nearer 1/100th

Which is exactly what you were whining on about solar thermal with your bullshit bollocks about parabolic reflectors.

Oh yes and unlike you I also understand them.

If what you know about engineering were written down the rest of the postage stamp could be used for a life-size drawing of your todger.

If what you know about marts were written down there'd be room on the head of the pin for a life size drawing of your brain.

I should have been clearer about that. Combining thermal panels with a heat-pump is available, and hybrid panels are available, but combining the two might still mean designing your own system rather than finding an installer who offers it as standard.

I wasn't entirely serious. It is potentially very efficient, but it's a complicated setup with a high capital cost. I don't see why that should make the controls harder to understand or maintenance worse though. There are more things to go wrong though, compared with "dump the output of PV panels into an immersion heater".

With the abscence of any splay inside I'm inclined to agree but most of ours are that deep and only four of them have any splay. 18" solid stone walls plus block walls inside or solid wall plus insulated drylining. These are much larger windows though roughly 6 x 4'.

It looks like a home suitable for a hamster.

Must be a million miles from Harry and his grossly subsidised hutch. That's a startling monument to bad taste that you have there harry. It will make a perfect hen house when you pop your clogs.
