The continuing download saga

Actually crept up to 13 down and 1.5 up! Ample for my needs but will it last! Stable for 3 days so far.

If you're the only user and haven't got umpteen visitors streaming UHD films and/or playing online video games there really isn't any point. Mine is 30M down; I don't know the up rate as I have no requirement for anything high.

I specifically wanted a good up speed, as I run a home server and sometimes want to access files remotely, at a decent speed. My eldest son is also away at university and a VPN lets him access our home network from there. Currently getting about 38Mbps up and 320Mbps down.

I do play online game, but its a relatively smart client low bandwidth app,. When visitors are here, I don't spend my time online - and neither do they.

I can access my home server from e.g. an NHS hospital bed and watch videos with just 10Mbps upload...

Yes, fine for streaming, but not so good for downloadingwhole directories or VMs, quickly, for later offline use or for my son pulling down huge game files or ISOs for his Cybersecurity activities, that he keeps on our network.

Oh, and I forgot, that much of the time, our other two children are playing online games too.
