Testing for Main Water Pressure

Is there an easy way in finding out the mains water pressure at the loft water tank position? I'm fitting a new silent inlet valve. TIA Jaymack

You'll need something like:

you'd need to organise somewhere up there to attach it.

So do you just need to know whether your pressure is "low" or "high" in order to fit the correct valve inlet? If you've no idea, then just suck it and see: start with a high pressure one and see if it works OK or not

- chances are it will be OK, and even if it needs changing it will still be much quicker and cheaper than buying and attaching the requisite gauge.
