Sunday Opening

Replacement rad. hose, when the old one really wasn't going to last until next weekend.

In Scotland, we don't have these daft laws about Sunday opening.

If you run a corner shop that makes half its profit from Sunday sales you don't think that they are daft

I'll remember that next time I need a loaf of bread on a Sunday in Stornoway.

Say that fast, three times, after a few drams. Hic!

I recall being in Scotland some years ago when you couldn't get a dram on the Sabbath...

It used to be the case that on some of the Hebrides you couldn't get

*anything* on the Sabbath, not even a ferry out of there.

You could, in a hotel. But not a in a pub.
