My boiler has a weeping leak, but I can't see how the copper pipe is supposed to go into the manifold without leaking. Doesn't appear to be compression. What's the anti-leak technology involved?

At a guess a fibre washer.
There must be some mechanical fastening holding the pipe in, though. I can't see how that works..
Pipe is soldered/brazed into the fitting that then screws into the silver rightangle receptical on the side of the boiler trapping the fibre washer between flat flanges on both parts. A joint made with a fibre washer doesn't need to be tightened much above finger tight, so doesn't need flats for a spanner.
You might be able to cure the weep by just nipping it up a bit but I'm not sure how you enable the pipe to rotate.
