SOT : Microsoft oddity

Ufter updating Windows 11 and running CCleaner 7, the letter X at the top right corner has disappeared from all Microsoft products (non-Microsoft software is unaffected). Is this a feature of W11 25H2 or has something gone wrong?

I could find a claim, that some SDK has an impact on the Microsoft-App behaviors (missing Close), and some other code is used by third parties (which may include just using an older SDK that was still functional). It may be a recent update to windows 11 which loops in this SDK issue.

Alt-F4 can Close an application which has the focus, as a (poor) workaround.

It may take a while, to figure out a good keyword to stick in a Google, to find out details on this (and what might pave over it).

Thanks. After a bit or searching, it seems it involves turning off Desktop Window Manager (DW) in the Task Manager then a restart.
