Freesat Box must run on Windows, re-booting it sorted that.

NVidia, however, is another matter - it doesn't do IR, only Bluetooth so I need more expensive remote that does Bluetooth. Bit odd as the One For All app asks if you want to connect via Bluetooth then says it can't connect!

The return process on Amazon failed twice as Royal Mail seem to have a problem, After a brief chat I have had a refund and kept the original remote, nothing wrong with it, just doesn't do Bluetooth.

I'd have thought every smartphone would do Bluetooth, but of course some BT devices have an arcane pairing method. And there's more than one Bluetooth...

Yes, I realise that. But you need a Bluetooth controller, isn't there an app for that?

The remote I got had a small Bluetooth controller designed to communicate with a 'phone for setup. The more expensive remote has a more powerful Bluetooth controller that will communicate with the NVidia (which does NOT have IR). Made me realise how good the Logitech Harmony is, pity nobody bought it out.

OK, I got the URC7985 which does Bluetooth for between 1 and 4 devices depending which AI answer you believe.

Start with the TV, Panasonic TX-L32E30B, won't control it apart from one or two functions, offered to connect via Bluetooth then tried to pair with my NVidia TV Show. The URC7981 controlled my TV fine.

Had some really good conversations with Google's AI, every time it provides incorrect information I tell it, it apologises profusely then gives me more incorrect instructions!

I have emailed OFA support but if that fails I think this one goes back too.

Anybody any experience of the SofaBaton remotes?

The 7985 has been refunded.

I had a "chat" with Stanley of the Sofabaton website, no idea if he is human. I sent him a list of what I wanted to control and he said they are all supported except my Panasonic TV (one letter different, may be the colour?) but it will be added within 24-48 hours. Fingers crossed.

Email received this morning confirming it has been added to their database with full instructions as to how to update things at my end, that is service!
