Someone from Bexley Heath broke into my Amazon Account

My account was raided and six £75 gift cards were purchased. I have been refunded for three of them, but chasing up Amazon for the outstanding three. I was fortunate to recognise what was happening fairly soon after the first email acknowledgement from Amazon. Unfortunately it takes so long to get through to Amazon that one or two gift cards might have been used. In theory they can only be used with Amazon directly, so they can block the numbers before use.

No idea Brian, but I have loaded loaded a new Windows operating system image and set up 2 factor authorisation.

How strong was your password ?, Do you only buy Amazon stuff at home ?, Do you have cleaners or other people coming into your house ?. Could be any number of possibilities.
