I believe you'd have something like
supply-->import-->export------>battery meter meter ^ charger | | generation | meter | ^ | | | grid tie | inverter
I believe you'd have something like
supply-->import-->export------>battery meter meter ^ charger | | generation | meter | ^ | | | grid tie | inverter
Though clearly the import meter won't be going backwards if the battery charger is being used to fraudulently bump up the generation meter!
For below 50kW systems the FIT simply assumes 50% of power "generated" is exported. There is currently no need for an export meter and no means of measuring the actual exported amount. Only the readings from the inverter are passed to the electricity company to claim the inflated price the rest of us subsidise.
You can choose to accept the deemd 50% export or to have an export meter fitted and sell the exported power, if you can find an organisation that will buy it!
The inverter readings are not accepted for FITs, an accredited generation meter has to be used.
Because they make money by selling units at 45p a hit. That you can buy elsewhere at 12p?
Indeed. Repeal of the laws of Nature is all that is required.
