That was their smallest shop. Another in Queens Road in Brighton, and one in Worthing.

I worked at their big semi-underground warehouse elsewhere in Brighton.

They had valve adverts on page 3 of Practical Wireless.

Not living anywhere near that London, my only knowledge of these firms was their adverts in Practical Wireless. Tottenham Court Road was probably the only road in London that I had heard of. "Cheques and Postal Orders accepted. Allow 28 days for delivery."

I think you'll find it was facing East, as TCR ran - more or less - north/south. It wasn't the shop I was thinking of. If my memory serves me correctly, it would have been pretty close to Hornes, the menswear shop, and almost opposite the Dominion. Interesting photo here:

I didn't visit Brighton or Worthing regularly until the early 80s. Had the shops gone by then?
