Room influence?

Just had the builders in about our underfloor heating issue (c.f. uk.d-i-y passim). They agreed that something wasn't right and agreed to call in the boiler company (Geminox). Meanwhile, one of them went into the settings on the main control panel, and set the Room Influence from HCI1 to None. Any ideas what this means? Nothing about it in the boiler manual.

"The room influence on the under-floor heating circuit must be disabled if the room sensor is installed in this room"

"However if the boiler directly supplies an under floor heating circuit: ? The QAA 73 settings need changing in accordance with the table above."

Ping the plumbers:-)

My polypipe system has a *master and slave* unit which I think you mentioned earlier. The slave unit provides connections for up to 4 thermostats and a similar number of actuators. The master unit provides connections for the boiler, under floor heating pump, zone valve and one thermostat. Your boiler may not require an additional pump and the system may not have a zone valve`.

The master and slave units couple together with various links being connected or disconnected depending on your system design.

Without knowing more about how the system is intended to work, remote fault finding is clutching straws in the dark.
