Replacing Honeywell T6360 manual thermostat with new digital one

Honeywell seems to have Earth wire, Blue neutral, a RED and a YELLOW.

Looking at honeywell diagram it seems Yellow is Live and Red is switched Live.

Bought a new controller and it just needs two wires. Can I just terminate neutral and earth?

Also, its got switched live and live terminals. Assume that means YELLOW (switched live) and RED (Live)?

Is it normal to use Yellow?

Terminate the neutral and earth safely.

Red would normaly be live but test the red and yellow and use wich ever is the live. Would be a better job to change over red and yellow at appliance to make red live if yellow is live now.

Quite normal to use the yellow on room stats.

Yes.

Probably - it's not really important in this scenario.
