Repairing Graco cordless air sprayer

Hi all

I am trying to fix my Graco cordless air sprayer and was wondering whether anyone has had any exoerience of these and how they are supposed to work?

When I pull the trigger, the motor runs etc but there is no build up of pre ssure in the paint chamber and nothing comes out of the nozzles. The bit th at the pot screws into has 2 holes - one for the tube to send the paint up to the nozzle and the other is just a hole. Having taken the nozzle off an d the paint pot and tube, when I run the sprayer set to full power and pres sure I can't feel any air flow on either hole. I was expecting to feel some air coming out of the hole (ie the one that is not connected to the paint hose) to enable the chamber to be pressurised but nothing.

Anyone know whether this is how they are supposed to work or whether my obs ervation is invalid?

Other tests so far have been to remove the outlet valve body (the bit that unscrews from the top and sits in the valve housing - the bit that unscrews from the bottom - if you see what I mean) and it seems fine. I can't seem to undo the valve housing from the bottom as the nut is stuck solid. Have also tried the priming etc techniques in the user manual buy no joy.

Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks

Lee.

No experience of these at all. In the absence of other input, have you seen these videos?

Thanks very much Richard I hadn't seen these. It is a different model to mine but still useful thanks. I have now managed to dismantle the valve assembly which is caked in paint so will start a new thread to see how to clean it.
