First I need two sheets 500 x 500 mm by 10 mm. They will need 4 holes to take the meta columns. I haven't unscrewed them yet so i cannot guess the diameter. The corners should rounded to a radius of 38mm The edges polished to ensure no sharpness. And on course anealed.
So, tell me where I ca get that for a reasonable price. In fact any price. Because I couldn't find anywhere.

Delivered from Stoke to Leicester, so can't see that you necessarily need to find a local supplier, the company seems to have ceased trading, so no point naming them.

I don't think it's hard to get if price is not an issue. I've not used this firm but their site offers what you want for around £200 - plus £55 delivery. (For those insisting toughened glass is cheap, yep - the glass is just £19.20 a sheet. But, as I've found the few times I've needed them, anything that involves taking glass away - holes, radius corners, notches etc - is eye-watering.)

You need to google for glass processors. online-glass.co.uk quotes about £185 for what you want.
I got mine from a local (Herefordshire) company but there are several on-line. You aren't going to reduce the size of the existing glass (assuming it's tempered, which it should be) so you have limited choices.

I just walked into one of several trade places that do glass for greenhouses , double glazing etc etc.
Alternatively, you could get this type of thing for £30 and something else to hang the TV.

Dunno where you live. I used a local place in Wimbledon to make a variety of glass shelves for me. Including safe corners, polished edges and holes
- then toughened. Architectural glass is pretty common these days. So plenty will make anything you want.
The cost of glass has gone up enormously. A replacement A5 piece of 2ml glass cost me £10 last week.

I'm curious how the small double glazing places do thing? Do they cut glass in their shop/factory and then have the ability to toughen the glass there, too?
I think they just go back to their suppliers
can still be cheaper to use a local place rather than going direct to the supplier because the local mark-up is less than their trade discount plus the saving on delivery can be significant for a small job.
They'd usually send it off to be toughened.
Certainly whenI needed a glass pane for our greenhouse, lat year, the well established glass merchant had to send it away to be toughened/
Trying to remember. Had shelves made to fit an alchove about 2.5 m wide. To take LPs. With glass spacers every 350mm or so. I had an existing three shelf glass TV stand I wanted bigger to take AV equipment like a turntable and reel to reels - about 1.5m wide (and couldn't find a ready made one the right size). Only thing used from the original unit the legs. Then two smaller shelves under the LP ones - either side - to take CDs.
Total cost about 600 quid.
A few years ago - and glass has gone up recently.
My local place (quite big) did the cutting and polishing etc themselves, then sent the glass off to be toughened.
