Recommend a magnifying lamp please.

Last time I took the back off an Iphone I could see which screws needed a 3 pronged screwdriver and which were 4. Yesterday, I had to remember which was which. Can the panel recommend a magnifying lamp?

Have you had your eyes tested? I'd be very careful, ie macular degeneration starts very slowly. For lights for helping vision Optima Low vision or even RNIB, many of the posh ones are no better but cost a lot more. Quite the opposite of what normally happens.

I purchased this and found it satisfactory. The lens isn't the biggest but I have it clipped to my workbench where it suits me fine

I have a large pair of +3.5 reading glasses that I slip on top of my ordinary glasses for close up work. These work fine for doing things like changing watch batteries.

we use these in the lab for soldering, they don't come with a PSU, use 4 AA batteries but a 5/6V PSU is pretty cheap if you use it a lot. Handy to have 3 croc cliups to hold small items still whiule you burn yuor fingers. Of course it's not the best quality but for the odd thing its fine for under £15 .

I got one of these, which is in another ballpark price-wise, but very good.
