Potterton Kingfisher CF60 problem

Usually the igniter is a separate button. You need to use both hands.

Usually you need to hold something in and then use the ignitor (on ours, also a Potterton and I think a Kingfisher) there is a large grey button you hold in and a another (black) button you press for the spark. You then need to hold in the grey button for a minute or so, before releasing it very slowly. The hold in period is to ensure the boiler identifies the pilot is lit or it will cut off the gas and turn off the pilot.

CF60's have been on the go for years and I don't know how long ago yours was made but if it is the same as mine which is very old you do the following .

Turn the control knob clockwise and release.Ensure the time control is in the ON postion and that the thermostat is in a HIGH position . Press the control knob in and hold it in .Swing the pilot light flap across to expose the pilot light ( This is at the down near the foot of the boiler ). Still holding the knob in hold a flame to the pilot light until it lights and hold the knob in for a few seconds then release slowly .Check that the pilot remains lit .
