Potterton EP2002 Controller

Jan 04, 2005 1 Replies

I have a Potterton Prima B Central Heating Boiler with a Potterton EP2002 Controller. The other day the controller (not the boiler) started clicking madly for several minutes before burning out the 3 amp fuse.

I replaced the fuse and switched it back on and the controller started clicking madly again. It appears to be the Central Heating part that is clicking as the indicator light for the central heating flashes in time to the clicks.

I tried pressing all of the buttons on the control and shifting the hot water and central heating selectors, but to no avail... it just keeps on clicking.

Does anybody have any ideas, or better still does anybody on this group have the instructions for the Potterton EP2002 Controller as I seem to have mislaid mine?

Thanks

It's probably a capacitor inside which has dried out so you're not getting any smoothing on the relay supply

It's knacked

I could repair it for you, but it's probably not worth the cost when you include delivery and VAT
